I think it's been years since I wrote any kind of connected argument. It probably shows.
Part of the problem is that when I do feel motivated to write something, it's usually to explain how Bernard Williams was right about everything. He had a very distinctive writing style, which I like but a lot of people don't: the points are all there but you have to work to see the connections between them, because he doesn't stop to spell it out. Probably no one should write this way unless they're as smart as he was
